From the remains of those beings came the current inhabitants of the word, as well as the various magical creatures that can be found on certain islands. Without it, the floating country disintegrated, with all of the inhabitants and structures plunging into the oceans below.
During the war that followed, the powerful artifact was shattered into pieces and scattered throughout the world below. However, a powerful warlord decided to claim the source of the country’s power as his own. Once upon a time there was a golden age where mythical beings lived in a country above the clouds, alongside other magical creatures.
